| I grew up in the town of
Hawksbury in Eastern Ontario, Canada, where I spent many hours
in the countryside exploring the shores of the Ottawa River
and hiking in the woodlands of the Laurentian Mountain shield.
As a nature lover, I enjoy exploring the colours of Canadas
seasons and my oil and pastel paintings represent nature at
its best.
Thirty years ago I launched my painting career
as a "Plein-air." painter of natures moods
and colours. After six years of training at art schools in
Canada, participating in a variety of art clubs and commercial
galleries and with the support and guidance of many well-established
artists, I dedicated my energies to portraying the vibrant
colours of nature on canvas.
My outlook on life is a positive one and
my paintings represents nature in all its pristine glory.
People say that my paintings bring a freshness into their
homes and offices. The same people are often lovers of spring
and summer wildflowers in their natural settings, of lakes
and woodlands bathed in the warm colours of autumn and are
moved by the soft shades of winter snows. I have been told
that the colours and composition of my landscapes uplift the
spirit and create a feeling of peace and contentment. Here
are a few examples of what appreciative collectors of my work
have written:
"Thanks for entrusting us with your
lovely painting. It is a delight and pleasure to look at each
day"
"We are thrilled with your painting
and it hangs proudly at our head office here in Toronto."
"Your (our) painting looks just terrific
at its new home at Grand Lake. All the kids noticed it and
liked it too."
"We love it! The painting you created
for us is an excellent interpretation of our vision. P. and
I are just thrilled."
Collectors from across Canada, the
United States and overseas have been acquiring my work for
over 25 years. I hope you have enjoyed my on-line gallery
